Veterinary Assistant II

Location: Onsite positions available in Atlanta, GA; Alpharetta, GA; Lutz, FL; and Parrish, FL.

What you will do

• Support veterinarians and the practice team in delivering consistent, high-quality veterinary care.
• Assist with laboratory, radiology, anesthesia, and dental equipment, including duties involving animal bodily fluids and tissues.
• Communicate patient updates clearly with veterinarians and other team members across in-practice, referral, and home-care settings.
• Review invoices, process client payments, and provide empathetic customer service.
• Manage pharmacy responsibilities, maintain controlled-substance logs, and assist with inventory needs.
• Follow standard operating procedures and standards of care, clean workspaces after patient interactions, and complete required training.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a practice.
• Experience in veterinary medicine and the ability to complete the Veterinary Assistant skills checklist.
• Strong verbal and written communication, observational, analytical, and client-service skills.
• Ability to work empathetically and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 80% of a shift and frequently lift 50–70 pounds, with team assistance for heavier loads.
