TL;DR

Alternative Strategist (Fintech): Driving hirify.global’s alternative sales and AUM growth in Western Canada by engaging with financial advisors and institutional clients. Focus on communicating complex investment philosophies, providing competitor intelligence, and supporting sales teams to maximize market penetration in the alternative investment space.

Location: Must be based in Vancouver or Calgary, Canada. The role operates on a 100% remote schedule.

Salary: $120,000 – $140,000 CAD annually.

What you will do

  • Drive net sales and AUM growth for alternative investment strategies across Western Canada.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for financial advisors, providing insights on investment philosophies and market trends.
  • Collaborate with sales teams (RVPs, DVPs, BDMs) to develop and execute territory-specific business plans.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and speaking engagements to educate advisors and DIY investors.
  • Partner with portfolio managers to translate complex investment strategies into compelling sales narratives.
  • Provide expert counsel for product development and the creation of investment communication materials.

Requirements

  • Current work authorization for Canada is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of wholesale investment sales experience with a focus on alternatives.
  • University degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to articulate complex investment mechanics.
  • Ability to travel frequently (potential for 1-2 days per week).
  • Strong relationship-building skills to work across investment management and distribution teams.

  • Professional designations such as CAIA, CFA, CIM, or MBA.
