What you will do

• Define the multiyear architecture strategy for cloud, application, data, and AI/ML infrastructure.
• Establish architectural principles and reference architectures to ensure system reliability and interoperability.
• Lead cross-functional architecture forums to drive consistent decision-making across R&D teams.
• Partner with product management to translate business needs into scalable technical roadmaps.
• Collaborate with security, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with medical device standards.
• Mentor engineering leads and provide architectural oversight throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering or architecture.
• Deep expertise in large-scale distributed systems, cloud architectures, and modern application platforms.
• Proven experience architecting regulated or high-reliability systems, preferably in medical or health tech domains.
• Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with FDA, EU MDR, IEC 62304, HIPAA, and related regulatory frameworks.
• Background supporting AI/ML platform architecture and model deployment.
• Experience designing architectures that integrate with medical devices or healthcare data standards like FHIR and HL7.
