What you will do

• Design and document scalable, multi-tenant cloud-native SaaS architectures for medical imaging and AI workloads.
• Translate high-level business requirements into actionable technical specifications and architectural enablers.
• Define integration approaches for AI/ML models, including genAI and computer vision, within imaging platforms.
• Architect secure, API-first services compliant with FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GxP, and HIPAA regulations.
• Design high-performance database architectures for large-scale medical imaging metadata and AI outputs.
• Mentor engineering teams on cloud architecture, security best practices, and medical imaging standards.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK.
• Deep expertise in cloud-native, serverless, and microservices architectures.
• Extensive experience with DICOM standards, networking protocols, and medical imaging workflows.
• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale SaaS platforms in regulated environments (FDA, GxP, ISO 13485).
• Strong proficiency in backend development (Java, Python, or C#) and API design.
• English: Fluent proficiency required.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
• Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Training or certification in medical device software development.
