Senior Software Development Manager, Precision Health Platform

Location: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD $175,000–$197,000 base salary per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead, manage, and expand a team of 8–10 software developers.
• Shape the scope and direction of technical initiatives for a patient-centered precision health platform.
• Drive project planning, execution, and delivery in alignment with business objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and make decisions to achieve project milestones.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on strategic goals and promote continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of technical leadership and/or people management experience with a team of at least 15 software developers.
• Experience managing software engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated success delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Healthcare or life sciences education or experience, particularly HL7 FHIR.
• Experience with GCP or AWS cloud platforms and CI/CD.
