Field Services Engineer (People Counting)

Location: Remote, based in the UK; the role includes travel to client locations for field installations, maintenance, repairs, and site surveys.

Salary: £30,000–£35,000 per annum, plus a company car, phone, and laptop.

What you will do

• Install, configure, test, maintain, and upgrade people counting sensors, peripherals, and related hardware systems.
• Conduct site surveys and plan safe, efficient installations, including work at heights.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, network, Wi-Fi, and system issues on-site or remotely.
• Document service activities through accurate reports and timesheets.
• Coordinate project timelines and escalations with internal teams.
• Provide professional customer support and participate in weekend on-call remote support.

Requirements

• Experience in field-based technical support or installation.
• Knowledge of installations, IP networks, Wi-Fi technologies, Microsoft Windows, and MS Office.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair hardware issues while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong communication, planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Clean, valid driving licence required.
• Ability to work out of hours and comply with health and safety requirements.

Nice to have

• IPAF, CSCS, or PASMA certification.
• Experience in the heritage sector or with listed buildings.
