Senior Platform Architect, Infrastructure & Cloud Operations

Location: United States - Field; no relocation

Salary: $149,578–$219,381 per year in the US; Canadian range: $120,500–$170,500 per year

What you will do

• Design and evolve the on-premises IFIaaS SaaS platform across compute, network, storage, data, and application tiers.
• Define fault domains, placement strategies, availability architecture, performance budgets, SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
• Eliminate single points of failure and design graceful degradation for partial failures and overload conditions.
• Drive infrastructure as code, GitOps, CI/CD, progressive deployment models, and automated rollback.
• Embed zero-trust networking, mTLS, secrets management, least-privilege access, and platform-wide observability.
• Provide reference architectures, support service onboarding, troubleshoot production issues, and improve incident readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience as a platform, solutions, or systems architect, software engineer, senior DevOps engineer, or similar.
• Experience designing distributed systems with a focus on availability, scalability, resilience, and performance.
• Strong expertise in microservices architecture, API design, service-to-service communication, fault tolerance, capacity planning, and failure handling.
• Experience contributing to architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and cross-team initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting and explaining complex system designs.
