What you will do

• Own availability architecture across compute, network, storage, data, and application tiers to exceed 99.9% service availability.
• Design fault domains (host, rack, cluster, site), enforce placement strategies, and limit blast radius.
• Eliminate single points of failure across infrastructure and platform components, and design graceful degradation for overload/partial failures.
• Define performance budgets, SLOs/SLIs/error budgets, and capacity headroom; ensure they drive deployment, scaling, and incident response.
• Drive infrastructure as code and GitOps; define progressive deployment models (canary, blue/green, rolling) with automated rollback.
• Establish observability (metrics/logs/traces/health signals) and operational readiness (runbooks, failure testing, automated remediation), acting as technical authority for architecture decisions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a Platform/Solutions/System Design Architect, Software Engineer, Senior DevOps Engineer, or similar.
• Proven experience designing distributed systems with emphasis on availability, scalability, resilience, and performance.
• Demonstrated expertise in microservices architecture, API design, and service-to-service communication patterns.
• Strong system design knowledge: fault tolerance, capacity planning, dependency isolation, and failure handling.
• Experience leading or contributing to architecture reviews and technical design discussions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document and explain complex system designs.
