Senior Director, Platform Architecture (AI)

Location: United States; hybrid role with remote and in-office flexibility.

Salary: $181,317–$326,371 annually, plus variable pay opportunity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own and evolve the target-state architecture for the Agentic Service Catalog and its workflow, control, and knowledge capabilities.
• Define APIs, events, schemas, workflow interfaces, versioning, compatibility, observability, and ownership contracts.
• Design governance and control-plane architecture for authenticated, policy-enforced, approved, and auditable execution.
• Establish patterns for AI agents, tool access, grounded context, retrieval, memory, evaluation, evidence capture, human approval, replay, and kill switches.
• Build reference implementations and proofs of concept, review critical code, and troubleshoot complex integrations.
• Coordinate technical direction across engineering, security, risk, AI platform, ITSM, cloud, data, network, and infrastructure teams while mentoring engineers and architects.

Requirements

• 8+ years of management experience.
• 8+ years of platform architecture experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing APIs and integrations, including contracts, schemas, versioning, compatibility, error handling, and system boundaries.
• Practical experience with AI-enabled systems, agent architectures, model integration, intelligent automation, or related technologies.
• Experience with enterprise security and governance, including identity, authorization, least privilege, policy enforcement, approvals, auditability, evidence, and traceability.
