Software Architect (AWS)

Location: United States-oriented role; requires Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Poly

Salary: $234,000–$256,000 per year, plus $59,000–$64,000 in immediately vested company 401(k) contributions

What you will do

• Design secure, scalable, event-driven AWS architectures for services, data pipelines, and search solutions.
• Develop production Java Spring Boot and Python Lambda services for AWS Lambda and Kubernetes workloads.
• Architect high-throughput data and messaging solutions using DynamoDB, OpenSearch, SQS, and SNS.
• Implement infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, logging, alerting, and DevSecOps practices.
• Mentor 2–4 junior developers, conduct code reviews, and lead architecture deep dives.
• Create architectural diagrams, runbooks, knowledge-base articles, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Poly is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent combined education and experience.
• 12 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree plus 10 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on AWS experience with services such as Lambda, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot or Python, microservice architectures, and production software development.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code, GitLab and GitOps, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD practices.

Nice to have

• NoSQL or MongoDB query and schema design experience.
• OAuth/OIDC implementation experience.
• Test automation using Playwright and Cucumber.
• Experience with Maven, AWS CI/CD tools, static code analysis, and blue-green or canary deployments.
