What you will do

• Handle low to moderate exposure personal lines marine claims from inception to closure.
• Review policies and documentation to confirm coverage and draft position letters.
• Conduct and coordinate investigations into loss facts and extent of damages.
• Evaluate liability and set reserves within authorized limits.
• Negotiate and settle claims directly with claimants.
• Identify subrogation opportunities and potential fraud for referral.

Requirements

• US Work Authorization required (no visa sponsorship).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Two to five years of claims handling experience.
• Ability to obtain necessary claims adjuster licenses.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced or technical degree.
• Knowledge of marine accident investigation techniques.
• Industry designations such as INS, IEA, AIC, ARM, SCLA, or CPCU.
• Prior personal boating experience.
