What you will do
- Adjudicate and resolve low to moderate professional liability claims, including litigated matters.
- Draft coverage letters, including reservation of rights and denial letters, with minimal supervision.
- Manage defense counsel and negotiate settlements for claims of moderate complexity.
- Maintain accurate claim documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Identify emerging exposure trends and suspected fraudulent claims in coordination with the Special Investigations Unit.
- Engage directly with insureds, brokers, and claimant attorneys to provide superior customer service.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of claims handling experience in Architects and Engineers or similar professional liability lines.
- Advanced knowledge of claims analysis, adjusting practices, and legal documentation standards.
- Active insurance adjuster’s license.
- B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited college or university.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for a customer-facing environment.
- Ability to work in a hybrid model with 2 days per week in a designated office location.
