What you will do

  • Lead sales and business development strategy for major direct and consortium subsea accounts in the APAC and Japan region.
  • Build and sustain trusted executive-level relationships to strengthen customer intimacy and competitive positioning.
  • Define and execute account strategies to meet quarterly and annual bookings, revenue, and margin objectives.
  • Drive opportunity creation, qualification, and pipeline expansion with a focus on execution and forecast accuracy.
  • Partner with internal teams including product management, legal, and sales operations to deliver complex global programs.
  • Manage end-to-end sales and fulfillment activities across global customer engagements.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Malaysia or have the ability to work remotely from the region.
  • 3+ years of experience managing major or global customer accounts with a proven sales track record.
  • 5+ years of experience across sales, systems engineering, or product management disciplines.
  • Strong technical knowledge of optical networking and subsea networks.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex sales strategies for large system sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience selling into Asia Pacific subsea markets, including consortium and large service provider customers.
  • Understanding of submarine consortium structures, governance models, and decision-making processes.
  • Knowledge of wet plant, submarine line terminal equipment (SLTE), and transponder architectures.
  • MBA or advanced technical degree.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for customer and business needs.
