Senior Fullstack Developer (IoT)

Location: Must be based in Ottawa, Ontario (Hybrid: 4 days in office, 1 day remote).

What you will do

• Build and optimize backend microservices using Node.js, Express, and NATS on AWS.
• Develop data-intensive, real-time systems for large-scale telemetry ingestion.
• Contribute to frontend development using React.
• Influence architectural decisions and technical direction across the platform.
• Ensure system reliability through automated testing, CI/CD, and observability.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from Ottawa, Ontario.
• 4-5 years of experience in software development.
• Strong backend development experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience building microservices and event-driven systems.
• Comfort with AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in JavaScript.
• Advanced React experience.
• Background in IoT, telematics, or large-scale distributed systems.
