Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack)

Location: Remote in Canada

Salary: CA$164,000–CA$225,500 annually, plus a 15% annual target bonus.

What you will do

• Build and ship product features from concept through implementation.
• Lead application architecture decisions and contribute to scalable solution design.
• Implement backend APIs with Python and Node, and develop SPA frontends with React, Vue, and Ember.
• Write clear design documentation and maintainable, testable code.
• Mentor engineers and guide high-quality delivery across multiple developers.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers in an Agile development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience developing web-based applications.
• Experience with Django, Rails, or another web framework.
• Experience with a modern frontend framework such as React, Vue, Ember, or Angular.
• Experience building REST/JSON APIs, including Swagger or OpenAPI specifications.
• Experience writing software tests and solving technical problems independently.
• Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Experience with Node, TypeScript, React, or Ember.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud computing platforms.
• Experience with SaaS web applications, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
