Senior or Principal Software Development Engineer (Full Stack) - Agent Factory (AI)

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; hybrid Flex Work with at least 50% of each quarter spent in the office or in the field

Salary: CAD 163,800–245,800 annual base pay range. An additional CAD 140,000–210,000 CAD base pay range is also listed for Canada.

What you will do

• Build and deliver full-stack features powering AI agents in HR and financial workflows.
• Design intuitive frontend experiences and resilient backend services integrated with AI capabilities.
• Own services and product experiences from development through production operations.
• Collaborate with machine learning engineers, product managers, and platform teams in a cross-functional pod.
• Share knowledge, mentor teammates, and raise the technical bar through strong engineering practices.

Requirements

• Senior level: 8+ years of software engineering experience; principal level: 12+ years.
• Senior level: 5+ years with a web development framework, React, TypeScript, and relational databases; principal level: 7+ years in each area.
• Python web frameworks such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI are preferred, with PostgreSQL preferred for relational databases.
• Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience building and operating SaaS products in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java for backend development.
• Experience working in fast-paced agile and cross-functional environments.
