Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Vancouver, Canada; hybrid with 3 days per week in the office

Salary: CA$110,000–CA$135,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software for the Fraud & Risk team.
• Build systems that generate fraud signals and process identity data within big data infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Product, DevOps, QA, and engineering teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Design reusable architectures and contribute to implementation from concept through deployment.
• Identify technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and scalability challenges.
• Use AI-assisted tools to draft, refactor, and review code while validating outputs against requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience developing enterprise-grade applications.
• Deep experience with C#, .NET Framework, or Java/Spring Boot.
• Experience with MySQL, NoSQL databases, schema design, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with React, Bootstrap, Material UI, CSS, and microfrontend architecture.
• Strong knowledge of testing automation, network protocols, security standards, Git, and agile methodologies.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AWS ECS, Athena, and Lambda.
• Experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, including index mappings and query optimization.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.
• Knowledge of OAuth2 authentication and authorization protocols.
