Tool & Fixture Design Engineer (CNC Machining)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY / East Aurora, NY

Salary: $70,000–$100,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, develop, and validate production tooling, jigs, and fixtures for machining and assembly.
• Create detailed drawings and CAD models using standard engineering design software.
• Oversee tooling fabrication, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes, including routing, equipment selection, capacity planning, and DFM collaboration.
• Support prototype builds, pilot runs, production launches, process validation, PFMEA, and control plans.
• Maintain process documentation and provide technical support and training to operators and technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
• Three or more years of experience in tool design or manufacturing engineering.
• Hands-on experience with tooling, fixturing, and CNC machining environments.
• Experience creating detailed drawings for tooling and fixturing.
• Ability to work onsite in Buffalo or East Aurora, New York.
• This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
