What you will do

• Manage workflow for strategic sourcing, contract lifecycle management, and compliance/governance for indirect IT & software commodities.
• Select, develop, and manage strategic suppliers to meet cost and performance goals, including identifying cost targets tied to technology and product roadmaps.
• Monitor commodity market conditions and trends; assess supplier capacity/capability and supply/demand challenges.
• Apply hirify.global sourcing and contracts policies; lead periodic supply-base reviews and supplier performance monitoring (quality, cost, delivery, technology, service, leadership).
• Lead supplier relationship management, root-cause analysis, resolution, and supplier improvement plans; collaborate with engineering to align technology roadmaps.
• Negotiate and complete contracts with global strategic and preferred suppliers; develop spend management strategies (TCO, make vs. buy, cycle time improvements, security of supply, supplier diversity, continuous improvement, EDI).

Requirements

• BA/BS undergraduate degree.
• At least 5 years of progressive commodity/supply chain management experience, including 5 years of direct source-to-contract experience (as a sourcing manager or business unit manager).
• Indirect category management experience with strong understanding of IT & software procurement concepts (software licensing, cloud architecture, IT labor SOWs, SaaS).
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills, including working knowledge of contractual terms/conditions and risk mitigation.
• Ability to work with Legal on ethical purchasing behaviors and related legal requirements.

Nice to have

• 7 years of direct source-to-contract work facilitating bilateral master agreements.
• 5 years managing IT and software sourcing.
• J.D. (or local equivalent) and/or MBA or similar advanced degree.
• In-depth experience with procurement and services contracts, including SaaS, software licensing, and hardware sales and service.
