Senior IT Sourcing Buyer (Software Procurement)

Location: Bucharest, Romania; hybrid work with 3 days per week in the office and 2 days per week from home

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end Source-to-Contract activities, from sourcing strategy through contract award and financial performance declaration.
• Develop sourcing strategies and commercial approaches for complex software procurement initiatives.
• Lead supplier negotiations, commercial evaluations, contract discussions, renewals, and competitive sourcing activities.
• Advise internal stakeholders on procurement strategy, supplier selection, commercial risk, and governance requirements.
• Manage multiple sourcing projects while meeting SLA and KPI targets and proactively mitigating risks.
• Prepare executive-ready sourcing recommendations, supplier evaluations, and negotiation summaries while mentoring junior buyers.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in IT procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.
• Expertise in complex Source-to-Contract engagements across software, cloud, and IT services.
• Experience leading supplier negotiations, contract renewals, and competitive sourcing initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management skills in multinational and matrix organizations.
• Professional English and French at minimum B2 level; C1 French and English preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, procurement, supply chain, economics, finance, information technology, engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Procurement certification such as CIPS, CPSM, or an equivalent qualification.
