What you will do

• Design and architect scalable distributed backend systems and microservices, including platform-level technical design reviews.
• Architect and build performant Java Spring REST APIs, including API contracts, data modeling, error handling, and testing.
• Develop AWS infrastructure as code using Python, and support cloud services and integration patterns.
• Ensure backend stability and performance through monitoring, debugging, production issue resolution, and reliability improvements.
• Deliver projects independently from requirements through deployment, making sound decisions under ambiguity.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers; participate in code reviews and technical discussions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrated ability to deliver projects independently.
• Deep proficiency in Java and the Spring framework for building RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and software architecture.
• Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and AWS services.
• Experience with Python for infrastructure automation and AWS infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization; familiarity with DynamoDB and event-driven architectures (AWS SQS/SNS) is required.
