TL;DR
Manager, Employee Relations (HR): Managing sensitive employee investigations and labor relations within a high-volume, guest-facing environment with an accent on policy enforcement, conflict resolution, and legal compliance. Focus on conducting complex internal investigations, partnering with legal counsel, and driving proactive issue mitigation strategies in a unionized setting.
Location: Must be based in Universal City, California (Hybrid: 4 days/week in-office)
Salary: $95,000 - $110,000

What you will do
- Conduct autonomous, in-depth interviews and investigations into sensitive and complex employee allegations.
- Develop and implement standardized processes for tracking and documenting employee relations claims.
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for proactive issue mitigation and training.
- Provide expert counseling and guidance to operations leadership and HR Business Partners on policy enforcement.
- Partner in the revision of team member programs and practices to sustain a positive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related field.
- 5+ years of HR generalist experience, including employee relations.
- 3+ years of experience handling complex employee investigations and collaborating with legal counsel.
- Extensive knowledge of US state and federal employment and labor laws.
- Ability to work on-site in Universal City, CA, at least 4 days per week.
- Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and confidentiality management skills.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree in Human Resources or Labor Relations.
- Experience with case management databases like Oracle, CaseIQ, or iSight.
- Experience working in unionized environments or the hospitality industry.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and resolve conflicts in matrixed organizations.
