TL;DR

Employee Relations Manager (HR): Managing complex employee relations matters and internal investigations with an accent on risk mitigation and equitable resolution. Focus on conducting high-sensitivity interviews, analyzing data for trends, and partnering with legal and compliance teams to maintain a high-performance culture.

Location: Hybrid (Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; or Minneapolis, MN). Must be based in the United States

Salary: $112,000 – $160,000

What you will do

  • Manage end-to-end employee relations investigations, producing detailed memos, executive updates, and disciplinary documentation.
  • Serve as the lead investigator for highly complex and sensitive colleague relations matters across various service lines.
  • Partner with business leadership to identify root causes of issues and implement strategies to mitigate risk.
  • Analyze ER data and metrics using Microsoft Excel to identify patterns and report findings.
  • Provide risk-based guidance on performance management, crisis management, and policy compliance.
  • Mentor and train other People & Culture functions on employee relations best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
  • 7+ years of Employee Relations experience.
  • Proven track record of investigating complex matters and managing risk in a professional services environment.
  • Knowledge of employment regulations across multiple jurisdictions, including California employment laws.
  • Experience with case management tools and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to travel less than 5% to service the client base.

Nice to have

  • PHR/SPHR or CP/SCP certification.
