What you will do

• Design and operate global cloud networking systems including load balancing, DNS, and CDN services.
• Develop automated detection and mitigation systems to defend against large-scale network threats like DDoS.
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code frameworks to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot complex distributed systems and network issues within Linux environments.
• Partner with AWS and internal engineering teams to scale global infrastructure and adopt new cloud technologies.
• Participate in on-call rotations to maintain the resiliency of critical infrastructure.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card) required.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on distributed systems and cloud-native applications.
• Hands-on experience with cloud providers such as AWS or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DNSSEC, and related network protocols.
• Proven track record of building tools or services using languages like Go, Ruby, Python, or C/C++.
• Extensive experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience deploying and debugging server software on Linux.

• Domain expertise within the AWS ecosystem (NLB, VPC, IAM, S3, EC2).
• Experience operating large-scale, highly available production systems.
• Knowledge of DDoS detection and mitigation strategies.
• Interest in cloud cost optimization and operational efficiency.
