Focus on designing scalable solutions, implementing automation through scripting and IaC, troubleshooting shared systems, and validating new AWS services for reliability and efficiency.

Location: Remote from US (VA). All employment is “at-will” as governed by the law of the state where the employee works.

Salary: $81,046–$140,000

What you will do

• Design and implement cloud technologies within hirify.global Governance policies, collaborating with development, architecture, security, and compliance teams.
• Set up, configure, and maintain AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda for shared systems.
• Develop automation, scripting, and reporting for managing shared systems, costs, patch management, disaster recovery, and resource tagging.
• Troubleshoot issues using AWS tooling, optimize resources for cost savings, performance, and reliability.
• Build and test prototypes of new AWS services, contribute to cloud architecture planning and strategies.
• Ensure compliance, implement security best practices, and maintain documentation including architecture diagrams.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in designing, implementing, and supporting AWS Cloud-based infrastructure and Linux systems
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Expert knowledge of AWS cloud technologies, architecture principles, design, security, and compliance.
• Strong scripting with AWS CLI/SDK, IaC (CloudFormation, Terraform), Linux/Windows systems.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), monitoring (CloudWatch), network fundamentals, performance tuning.
• Ability to pass a required background check.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or equivalent.
• Strong experience with git, disaster recovery solutions, enterprise-wide collaboration.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently.
