NPI-LCE Test Engineer

What you will do

• Architect end-to-end manufacturing test concepts for WDM telecom devices in close collaboration with R&D, NPI, and Production Engineers.
• Design and document required test hardware and software to meet all test specifications.
• Develop and maintain automated test solutions for manufacturing, including test steps, drivers, and test sequences.
• Support transfer of the test solution to the contract manufacturer for manufacturing deployment.
• Support existing manufacturing test solutions and implement ECOs.
• Develop complex algorithms for calibrating optical devices and drive continuous improvements to reduce test cost while improving quality.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical/Telecom Engineering.
• Engineering background for telecommunication/datacom products and experience across telecom/datacom product design life cycles.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Ability to read and understand hardware circuit schematics, CAD files, and IC data sheets.
• Must be able to deliver in C/C++/C# (VC++, C#, or C).
• Strong understanding of DFM/DFT and manufacturing process; experience with high-volume manufacturing test design and structural testing.

Nice to have

• Experience with automation tools such as NI TestStand and Python.
• Knowledge of FPGA, microprocessors, optical components, and high-speed buses; experience with optical test instruments.
• Knowledge of National Instruments software suite and SQL databases.
• German and Chinese language skills.
