Principal Integration and Test Engineer

Salary: $95,000–$245,000 base salary per year

What you will do

• Manage and control priorities, scope, schedules, costs, and performance baselines across larger program activities.
• Derive system-level integration and test requirements from mission requirements and define plans, approaches, and detailed test procedures.
• Develop and implement integration and test approaches throughout the program lifecycle as a subject matter expert.
• Identify system-level technical risks and execute mitigation strategies while helping customers resolve integration and test issues.
• Develop, document, and teach integration and test best practices to less experienced engineers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers, program leadership, customers, and non-technical personnel.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in Systems Engineering or a relevant role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field.
• Secret or higher government security clearance is required, and the selected applicant must obtain and maintain the clearance.
• Ability to solve complex, industry- and customer-driven problems as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary program teams, program leadership, and non-technical personnel.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple competing tasks and demands.
• Strong organization, planning, and time management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with qualification or acceptance testing, EMI, GPS, vibration, shock, pressure, temperature, or optics characterization.
• Experience automating and optimizing test infrastructure and processes.
• Familiarity with DOORS, SysML, LabVIEW, MATLAB, Linux OS, or Python.
