Principal Integration and Test Engineer

TL;DR

Principal Integration and Test Engineer (Systems Engineering): Manage and control integration & test priorities, scope, schedule, and cost while deriving system-level I&T requirements and defining plans, approaches, and detailed test procedures to solve complex I&T problems. Focus on identifying and mitigating program/system-level I&T technical risks across a program lifecycle and developing best practices through mentoring.

Salary: $95,000.00 - $245,000.00 (base)

What you will do

• Manage and control integration & test priorities, scope, schedule, and cost against baselines by monitoring program/task performance.
• Independently derive system-level I&T requirements from mission requirements and create test plans, approaches, and detailed test procedures.
• Develop and implement I&T approaches across a program lifecycle as a subject matter expert.
• Identify I&T technical risks and develop and execute mitigation strategies.
• Help customers understand, mitigate, and resolve I&T risks and issues.
• Develop, document, and teach I&T best practices to less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in Systems Engineering or a relevant role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field.
• Secret or higher government security clearance is required and must be obtained and maintained.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary program teams, program leadership, and non-technical personnel.
• Strong organization, planning, and time management skills to achieve program goals in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with qual/acceptance testing, EMI, GPS, vibration, shock, pressure, temperature, and optics characterization.
• Experience automating and optimizing test infrastructure and processes.
• Familiarity with DOORS, SysML, LabView, MATLAB, Linux OS, and/or Python.
