What you will do

• Own the delivery roadmap for platform modernization, including migration, API extraction, and frontend decoupling.
• Coach engineers on effective AI-assisted workflows using tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex.
• Partner with senior engineers to make architectural decisions regarding service boundaries and data migration.
• Remove blockers and manage capacity to ensure predictable sprint outcomes.
• Enforce high engineering standards, including clean PRs, test coverage, and documentation.
• Maintain security, privacy, and compliance standards in a regulated environment.

Requirements

• 8+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years in engineering management.
• 5+ years in C# and modern .NET (Core and beyond).
• 8+ years of SQL experience (schema design, query tuning).
• Must be based in the United States.
• Experience using and coaching others on AI coding tools.
• Ability to read code, review PRs, and provide architectural guidance.

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed systems (Kafka, event-driven architectures).
• Familiarity with Angular, React, or Next.js.
• Background in regulated domains like healthcare, fintech, or payments.
• Experience with progressive delivery (feature flags, canary deployments).
