What you will do

• Develop advanced financial models including complex revenue stacking and scalable commercial structures.
• Design and validate place-based energy propositions that challenge conventional market approaches.
• Collaborate with venture leads to define market opportunities and establish scalability OKRs.
• Create novel financing mechanisms and commercial structures to support project growth.
• Translate technical constraints like battery optimization into commercially viable business cases.
• Present complex models to investment boards, infrastructure funds, and B2B clients.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK and able to work in a hybrid capacity.
• Strong understanding of energy markets, pricing, trading, and commercial mechanisms.
• Hands-on experience with Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and wholesale energy.
• Proven ability to develop financial models and business cases for early-stage ventures.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Systems-thinking mindset connecting operational, technical, and regulatory considerations.

Nice to have

• Experience with flexibility modelling, battery dispatch, or capacity markets.
• Familiarity with innovative financing structures like SPVs or green bonds.
• Background in public sector or regulated commercial environments.
• Experience in a start-up, venture studio, or innovation lab.
