Manufacturing Engineering Manager (Advanced Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY / East Aurora, NY

Salary: $140,000–$190,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead the transition of machinery, tooling, and processes from the current campus to the Advanced Integrated Manufacturing facility.
• Manage tactical and operational plans using clear KPIs and measurable results.
• Maintain a rolling 10-year capital plan and oversee equipment selection, justification, acquisition, and onboarding.
• Monitor target-versus-actual performance and drive continuous improvement across machining and non-machining processes.
• Define and execute manufacturing engineering strategies aligned with site and divisional objectives.
• Lead automation, process optimization, production, quality, and schedule improvement initiatives across functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 10+ years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in machining environments.
• 3+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Strong project management, communication, stakeholder engagement, and change leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to work onsite in Buffalo or East Aurora, New York.

Nice to have

• Machining process optimization and hands-on machining experience.
• Automation initiatives, quoting, estimating, insourcing and outsourcing decisions, and resource planning.
• Manual CNC programming, CAD/CAM programming, Design for Manufacturing, GD&T, and blueprint reading.
• SQL and Power BI reporting, plus familiarity with JIRA and Teamcenter.
