Staff Software Engineer: Applied AI (AI)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; office attendance 3 times a week is required

What you will do

• Design and ship end-to-end AI agents for customs compliance, document processing, exception management, and other logistics operations.
• Build AI-powered applications that make supply-chain operations smarter, faster, and more autonomous.
• Work with operators, domain experts, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify problems and deliver solutions.
• Move rapidly from ideas to production and use deployments to improve the product.
• Own features from problem definition through production deployment.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience and extensive experience building with LLMs.
• Strong product judgment and the ability to identify high-value problems to solve.
• Fluency with LLM agent patterns, RAG, prompt engineering, tool use, and evaluation.
• Full-stack capability with TypeScript and Next.js.
• Entrepreneurial approach, comfort with ambiguity, speed, and strong cross-functional communication.
• Ability to work from the Amsterdam office 3 times per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Temporal.
• Experience building internal tools or operator-facing applications.
