Intern Product Engineer (AI)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; flexible hybrid or remote work environment.

What you will do

• Turn customer and operational problems into working prototypes and develop validated ideas into production features.
• Use AI agents and tooling to design, build, test, and ship software while reviewing and validating model output.
• Make product decisions about priorities, scope, and what is ready to ship.
• Set up evaluations and monitoring to measure whether live features are working effectively.
• Work directly with customers, support, and the product team to identify high-impact opportunities.

Requirements

• Ability to understand how software systems fit together, how data flows, and why systems fail.
• Ability to read, reason about, and debug code produced by you and AI agents.
• Evidence of building and shipping products or features through side projects, internships, hackathons, or prior work.
• Experience collaborating in a team, giving and receiving feedback, and moving work forward.
• Product sense, ownership, curiosity, and the ability to work quickly through iteration.
• Regular use of AI and agents as development tools, with the judgment to verify their output.

Nice to have

• Experience at a SaaS or product company.
• Independently built side projects or small products used by real people.
• Hands-on experience with evaluations, inference cost monitoring, or AI model failure modes such as hallucinations.
