Internship - Artificial Intelligence Agent Developer (AI)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; hybrid working combines home working with office collaboration. During the internship, enrollment at a Dutch university is mandatory, or enrollment at an EU university for EU passport holders.

Internship allowance: €700 based on a 36-hour work week.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and validate agent-based solutions for non-financial risk processes using Microsoft Co-Pilot.
• Prototype automation approaches for risk identification, monitoring, reporting, and control effectiveness.
• Analyze structured and unstructured data relevant to non-financial risk domains.
• Translate business problems into data-driven AI solutions and research developments in AI agents and data science.
• Collaborate with risk experts, IT teams, and stakeholders across ING Netherlands and Group NFR departments.
• Present outcomes, demonstrations, and recommendations to management and support AI knowledge sessions.

Requirements

• Master’s student in Data Science, AI, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience with machine learning, data analysis, or AI/LLM frameworks.
• Experience with Microsoft Co-Pilot, prompt engineering, and building agents.
• Interest in risk management, banking, or regulatory environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Mandatory enrollment at a Dutch university, or at an EU university for EU passport holders, throughout the internship.
