Senior AI Software Engineer (LLM)

Location: London, England, United Kingdom; office attendance is expected three days a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday)

What you will do

• Design, build, and ship end-to-end AI-powered features for a new AI-native product.
• Develop scalable backend APIs, microservices, and LLM orchestration layers.
• Design agentic workflows, retrieval systems, and model-orchestration pipelines.
• Build evaluation frameworks to test and improve model performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers on technical and AI strategy.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, pair programming, and mentoring.

Requirements

• Experience building or shipping features using LLMs, agents, embeddings, or similar AI tooling.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and applied AI/ML judgment.
• Experience designing reliable, maintainable systems and AI/LLM pipelines.
• Ability to work with backend APIs and services across the stack.
• Willingness to learn new AI techniques, models, and domains.
• Comfort with mentoring engineers and collaborating in cross-functional squads.

Nice to have

• Experience with React, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, LLM APIs, vector databases, or retrieval pipelines.
• Experience working on finance, expenses, or procurement products.
