Sr. Software Development Engineer, Authentication and Access

Salary: $130,000–$196,500 (annual base compensation range)

What you will do

• Contribute to critical, highly-available, low-latency authentication and authorization systems for hirify.global.
• Lead cross-team engineering projects across the full software development lifecycle (planning through monitoring and maintenance).
• Architect integrations of authN/authZ systems throughout hirify.global’s engineering stack and customer-facing experiences.
• Design and prototype complex software solutions, including replacing legacy authorization systems with modern implementations.
• Perform thorough code and design reviews; craft high-quality technical documentation.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to triage incidents and provide emergency support when needed.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Significant experience designing, building, and maintaining backend web services.
• Significant experience owning the full development lifecycle (planning, design, coding, deployment, rollout, monitoring, and maintenance).
• Experience with at least one system programming language (Go, Rust, Java, C++...).
• Comfortable working with distributed, global teams and collaborating with UX and Product teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or related).

Nice to have

• Experience developing highly-available, low-latency software.
• Experience working on security-critical systems.
• Experience with Go.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
• Experience acting as a team technical leader.
