What you will do

• Architect, design, and implement security and network-focused software features for the GigaSMART product portfolio.
• Develop innovative network security solutions that expand and differentiate company offerings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define product requirements and software architecture.
• Propose end-to-end designs that meet functional, performance, and scalability requirements for new products.
• Conduct feasibility analyses and trade-off evaluations for proposed architectures and implementations.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in software development best practices and engineering processes.

Requirements

• MSEE or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of software development experience focused on networking software architecture and design.
• Expert-level proficiency in C++ and/or Go.
• Experience designing and consuming APIs in distributed or cloud-based systems (AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware).
• Experience developing software for multi-core, multi-process, and multi-threaded systems with an emphasis on performance.
• Background in proxy services, firewalls, IDS/IPS, data protection, or deep packet inspection (DPI).

Nice to have

• Experience building or integrating with OLAP/analytical databases.
• Familiarity with network flow protocols such as NETFLOW and IPFIX.
