Salary: $140,000–$215,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and build complex, high-volume backend services for the Falcon Platform ingestion group.
• Manage network communications and event traffic between the security cloud and customer resources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and evolve system architecture and roadmaps.
• Optimize performance for distributed systems, including sharding, partitioning, and horizontal scaling.
• Develop and maintain thread remediation layers and distributed caching platforms.
• Ensure engineering excellence through rigorous testing, peer code reviews, and resilient architecture design.

Requirements

• Over 7 years of full-time backend software development experience.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Sunnyvale, CA for hybrid work.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, scalability, multi-threading, and concurrency.
• Proven experience building high-volume services for cloud-delivered SaaS products.
• Solid grounding in at least one cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Ability to pass background and fingerprint checks consistent with government customer requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with Go, Scala, Cassandra, Kafka, or Elasticsearch.
• Industry experience implementing web servers and load balancers.
• Contributions to open source libraries or projects.
• Prior experience in cybersecurity or intelligence fields.
