TL;DR

Human Resources Consultant (HR): Providing expert HR consultation and compliance support to clients with an accent on wage and hour laws, leaves of absence, and employee relations. Focus on managing complex client contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality HR assessments and training.

Location: Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Salary: $50–$55 per hour.

What you will do

  • Provide extensive consultation on wage and hour, leaves of absence, and worker’s compensation.
  • Ensure client compliance with state and federal leave laws and employee relations matters.
  • Interpret client contracts and manage billable work, including time tracking and identifying supplemental service opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients regarding policy, benefits, and payroll compliance.
  • Develop and conduct training content for webinars and client presentations.
  • Monitor compliance correspondence and resolve sensitive issues independently.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or equivalent.
  • 8-10 years of professional HR experience with a focus on employment-related compliance.
  • Active HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP or equivalent).
  • Advanced knowledge of state and federal regulations (COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, ADA, ACA).
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree in business or human resources.
  • Certifications related to Payroll or Benefits (FPC, CPP, CEBS).
