Sr. Director, Engineering (AI)

What you will do

• Lead a global engineering organization with multiple Engineering Managers and senior individual contributors.
• Integrate AI-powered development tools, including LLM-based agents, to improve developer throughput and code quality.
• Define AI product enablement strategies covering intelligent automation, predictive features, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows.
• Own the engineering operating model, planning cycles, roadmap execution, release cadence, and delivery health metrics.
• Drive platform engineering, cloud-native microservices, CI/CD, technical debt reduction, and secure system practices across .NET, Java, React, and cloud infrastructure.
• Partner with Product, Design, Data Science, Operations, Talent Acquisition, and executive stakeholders on strategy, budgets, hiring, and organizational change.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive software engineering experience and 7+ years leading engineering teams at scale.
• Experience delivering complex, multi-quarter programs on time and using engineering metrics to drive accountability.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML tools into developer workflows or delivering AI-enabled product features.
• Experience leading technology transformations, modernization programs, or cultural change in engineering organizations.
• Deep knowledge of cloud-native architecture, microservices, modern SDLC practices, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and SRE principles.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience in automotive, insurance, fintech, health tech, or another highly regulated or compliance-sensitive domain.
