Value Stream Engineer Intern (Manufacturing)

Compensation: $26.00 – $28.00 per hour

What you will do

• Analyze production processes and map material flow using Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
• Conduct time studies and support SMED activities to reduce changeover times.
• Apply Lean tools such as Kaizen, 5S, and root-cause analysis to drive operational excellence.
• Update facility and equipment layouts using AutoCAD.
• Revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements.

Requirements

• Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Minitab or simulation tools.
