Appian Business Analyst

TL;DR

Appian Business Analyst (BPM/Low-Code): Partnering with product teams and customers to define requirements and drive the development of complex Appian applications with an accent on process reengineering, data modeling, and user story creation. Focus on bridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation within an Agile environment to deliver high-value federal solutions.

Location: Remote (US-based, must be able to work East Coast hours)

Salary: $74,230 - $142,250

What you will do

• Conduct discovery workshops with stakeholders to collect and document solution requirements.
• Define MVP scope, release plans, and prioritize feature enablers in collaboration with product managers and architects.
• Author detailed user stories with acceptance criteria and manage the product backlog.
• Perform process improvement, data modeling, and UI design analysis for BPM applications.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to provide guidance, feedback, and formal review of implemented features.
• Track and manage project risks while identifying opportunities for process optimization.

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance required
• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis and requirements refinement for information systems.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, user stories, and process modeling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be based in the US and able to work East Coast hours.

Nice to have

• 1+ years of hands-on Appian solution implementation experience.
