Sr. Business Analyst (Remote)

Location: Fully remote within the Continental United States (CONUS)

Salary: $110,000–$115,000 annually

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements with project managers, Scrum Masters, developers, testers, architects, and VA stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile Scrum and SAFe ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives, and daily standups.
• Lead requirements elicitation sessions, stakeholder interviews, and product elaboration workshops.
• Create BRDs, functional requirements specifications, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting project documentation.
• Analyze business processes and impacts across interconnected applications and systems, including AS-IS and TO-BE workflows.
• Support SDLC activities, UAT, requirements traceability, defect triage, release readiness, and solution validation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5–8 years of experience, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum or SAFe software development environments.
• Experience creating business requirements documentation and writing clear, detailed, testable user stories.
• Experience supporting backlog refinement and requirements elaboration.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience working with cross-functional Agile delivery teams and project managers.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, process flows, workflow diagrams, UML diagrams, or business process models.
• Experience supporting federal government or Department of Veterans Affairs programs.
• Experience with healthcare, benefits, or enterprise business systems.
