What you will do

• Supervise a team of 18-20 machinists on the 2nd shift, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Identify, implement, and measure team objectives aligned with organizational strategic plans.
• Collaborate with the Process Manager to drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure maximum utilization and efficiency of personnel and equipment to meet manufacturing schedules.
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure accurate employee time reporting.
• Coordinate with support groups and departments to accomplish area objectives and resolve employee relations issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience or Associate's degree with 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing shop floor environment.
• Strong experience in a machine shop and supervisory/team lead experience.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T.
• Must be able to work onsite in Torrance, CA.
• Must have access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice to have

• Degree in Engineering or Business.
• Experience supervising or running CNC machines.
• Gear cutting knowledge.
• Experience in the aerospace industry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
