Sales Manager (Fintech): Driving new retail business opportunities and managing the full sales cycle for payment solutions in Austria with an accent on strategic partnership development and market expansion. Focus on building a high-performing sales team, negotiating complex deals with diverse merchants, and positioning innovative payment technologies within the European retail ecosystem.

Location: Must be based in Austria, preferably in Vienna, with valid work authorization.

Salary: Minimum €50,214.22 gross annual (based on collective bargaining agreement, actual compensation is significantly higher).

What you will do

  • Identify, pursue, and close new retail business opportunities across Austria.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and pitching to contract negotiation and onboarding.
  • Build and lead a team of field sales agents to support business growth.
  • Deliver tailored presentations and proposals to retail clients ranging from SMBs to large enterprises.
  • Maintain deep market knowledge of retail trends and payment innovations.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client site visits.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sales leadership and business development within fintech or retail technology.
  • Fluent English and native or proficient German required.
  • Must have valid work authorization for Austria.
  • Proven track record of managing complex deals and nurturing long-term client relationships.
  • Deep understanding of European omni-channel retail and payment ecosystems.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across the country.

  • Knowledge of additional European languages.
