What you will do

• Lead, coach, and grow a multi-disciplinary team of engineers focused on developer tooling and cloud platform experience.
• Own the roadmap for internal developer tooling, including GitLab, Backstage, Kong, and Docker ecosystems.
• Define and track developer experience metrics such as DORA, onboarding time, and tool adoption.
• Systematically identify and remove friction points in local development, cloud access, and CI/CD feedback loops.
• Partner with Enablement, Product, and Quality Engineering teams to ensure tooling supports testing and observability.
• Champion developer experience as a strategic priority with senior stakeholders and engineering leadership.

Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering experience with 4+ years in an engineering management role.
• Strong understanding of developer productivity, internal platforms, and developer portals like Backstage.
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and DevOps/DevSecOps principles.
• Proven track record of mentoring engineers and building high-performing team cultures.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders without authority.
• Must be based in or able to work from Kraków, Poland.
