TL;DR
Athletic Trainer/DME Field Service Rep (Orthopedic Medical Technology): Providing patient care in orthopedic practices, hospitals, clinics, and patient homes through measuring, fitting, and educating patients on Enovis bracing and support products with an accent on clinical accuracy, patient communication, and insurance verification. Focus on coordinating follow-up fittings, supporting physicians and clinical staff, managing DME reimbursement requirements, and meeting service KPIs across field locations.

Location: Brooklyn, NY; field-based service across physician offices, hospitals, patient homes, and clinics. Travel up to 20% using personal transportation; overnight travel is not required. Applicants must already have full-time work authorization in the United States.

What you will do

  • Measure and apply orthopedic soft goods, functional braces, bone growth stimulators, and other prescribed hirify.global products.
  • Educate patients and healthcare practitioners on product use, care, and expected outcomes.
  • Coordinate follow-up brace fitting appointments and provide routine customer service to patients, physicians, physician assistants, and clinical staff.
  • Verify patient benefits using automation tools, including pre-authorization and collection of patient responsibility.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, hirify.global, and the Sales Team.
  • Achieve management-defined metrics and KPIs while following healthcare compliance, ethics, OIG, regulatory, and HIPAA requirements.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in a hospital, healthcare facility, clinic, physician’s office, or comparable orthopedic patient-care setting.
  • Demonstrated patient-care experience and strong commitment to supporting patients and healthcare practitioners.
  • Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance required.
  • Must satisfy third-party credentialing and screening requirements for access to hospital accounts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future; full-time U.S. work authorization is required.

Nice to have

  • Board of Certification in Athletic Training.
  • ABC Certified Fitter-orthotics, Orthotic Fitter, Physical Therapy, NBCOT, BOC Physical Therapy, or other relevant orthopedic or clinical certification.
  • Experience with insurance reimbursement and DME billing requirements.
  • Experience working with multiple physicians in a high-volume clinic.
