Neurophysiologist Traveler (Nationwide)

Location: Connecticut; long-term assignments are nationwide and require regular travel

What you will do

• Obtain patient medical histories and consult with surgeons about structures at risk and monitoring modalities.
• Communicate real-time monitoring information to surgeons and operating-room staff throughout procedures.
• Display and label waveforms, calculate neurological measurements, and follow established monitoring protocols.
• Troubleshoot equipment and protocols to ensure accurate data collection.
• Complete IOM documentation, logs, file uploads, equipment maintenance, and required checks.
• Provide temporary staffing support through assignments typically lasting 1–12 months.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 3 years with a master’s degree, or a PhD without experience; equivalent experience may be considered.
• CNIM certification and at least 5 years of intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring experience.
• Operating-room experience and the ability to communicate in English with surgeons and surgical staff.
• Ability to transport and set up up to 50 pounds of IONM equipment and supplies.
• Ability to handle regular travel, changing schedules, competing demands, and unexpected operating-room events.
• Valid driver’s license, personal transportation, required hospital privileges, and compliance with applicable physical and vaccination requirements.
