Risk Implementation Consultant (Fintech): Implementing risk and modelling functionality for asset management clients with an accent on model configuration, stress testing, and Value-at-Risk. Location: Hybrid in London, UK

What you will do

  • Analyze and implement client risk requirements, including model selection and scenario design.
  • Translate business needs into detailed technical documentation and specifications.
  • Collaborate with the product team to provide market-driven input for the risk product roadmap.
  • Provide technical advisory and L2 support for risk modelling and pricing valuation.
  • Perform hands-on system configuration to align platform features with client needs.
  • Facilitate training sessions and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, etc.).
  • 2-5 years of experience in financial market modelling or risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of valuation for equity derivatives, credit derivatives, rates, and fixed-income products.
  • In-depth understanding of valuation models and portfolio risk strategies.

Nice to have

  • Experience with model libraries like Numerix, FinCad, or QuantLib.
  • Knowledge of trading risk systems (Imagine, Front Arena, RiskMetrics, Calypso, Murex).
  • FRM or CFA certification.
  • Working knowledge of trading strategies, accounting, and portfolio management principles.
