Finance Consultant (Fintech)

TL;DR

Finance Consultant (Fintech): Leading strategic workstreams in finance transformation programs for banks with an accent on shaping client value propositions and supporting delivery across complex transformation programs. Focus on translating complex business challenges into innovative solutions and actionable roadmaps, and defining finance & risk transformation offerings for banking clients.

Location: Remote-first role based in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, UK, Serbia or Romania. Occasional travel may be required.

What you will do

• Lead strategic workstreams in finance transformation programs for banks.
• Translate complex business challenges into innovative solutions and actionable roadmaps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, delivery, and architecture.
• Support client engagements from early shaping to execution, including C-level interactions.
• Contribute to internal capability building and team development.
• Define and evolve finance & risk transformation offering for banking clients.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in strategy consulting, ideally with a strong analytical foundation.
• Experience in banking, with an understanding of industry dynamics.
• Strong tech affinity — comfortable working with digital tools, data models, and transformation platforms.
• Experience across both strategic change initiatives and operational finance & risk environments (e.g. controlling, data & analytics, reporting, planning).
• Familiarity with transformation programs, including process / operating model design and system implementation.
• Fluent in English.

Nice to have

• Risk management experience is a plus.
• Experience with finance software, especially form SAP and hirify.global, is a plus.
• German is a plus.
