What you will do
- Own design for key Truework product areas across borrower, lender, and internal operational experiences, from discovery through launch and iteration.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to define problems, shape roadmaps, and deliver high-quality solutions aligned to user needs and business outcomes.
- Simplify complex verification workflows (requests, document collection, consent/authorization, status visibility, exception handling) into clear, user-friendly experiences.
- Use AI-assisted design/development tools to rapidly prototype, validate, and implement lightweight UI changes in code when appropriate.
- Design trust- and clarity-focused UI patterns for a sensitive financial domain, prioritizing transparency, error prevention, accessibility, and confidence-building.
- Create interaction and visual design specs/assets for responsive web and/or platform surfaces, and facilitate alignment through workshops and design reviews.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of product design experience with a strong track record of shipping high-quality work.
- Portfolio showing end-to-end thinking: problem framing, exploration, rationale, collaboration, iteration, and measurable impact.
- Ability to work in complex domains where edge cases matter and distill complexity into simple, usable flows.
- Strong product instincts to balance user needs, business goals, technical constraints, and timeline realities.
- Experience independently planning and executing lightweight research (interviews, usability testing, concept validation) and collaborating with researchers when available.
- Detail-oriented craft across interaction patterns, content clarity, information hierarchy, and accessibility best practices.
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech, lending, mortgage, identity, compliance-heavy, or other high-trust regulated spaces.
- Experience designing B2B/B2B2C products, especially workflows used by operations teams or external partners.
- Familiarity with design systems, documentation, and scalable component thinking.
- Experience designing secure data, consent, and privacy-forward user experiences.
