What you will do
- Lead end-to-end UX/UI design for digital banking initiatives, aligning member needs with business objectives.
- Design responsive web and mobile flows for onboarding, authentication, payments, accounts, and dashboards.
- Work within vendor platform design systems (e.g., Backbase, Temenos, VeriPark, Forge, Intellect, Lumin) and produce wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Advise on configuration vs extension vs bespoke solutions in collaboration with architects.
- Facilitate design workshops and present design decisions to technical and executive stakeholders.
- Support agile delivery with sprint planning, development handoff, and design validation while maintaining reusable UI components and accessibility standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of UX/UI design experience for web and mobile applications, including 3+ years in digital banking environments.
- Strong experience working within structured design systems and regulated industries.
- Hands-on experience with digital banking platforms such as Backbase, Temenos, VeriPark, Intellect Design, Central1 Forge, Lumin, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of digital banking journeys (onboarding, payments, authentication, account management).
- Proven ability to collaborate with product owners, solution architects, and engineering teams in Agile environments.
- Ability to communicate design rationale and trade-offs clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience working with credit unions or community banking environments.
- University degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
